Civil Engineer I or Civil Engineer II
CIVIL ENGINEER I OR CIVIL ENGINEER II – Water Resources (based upon qualifications) - City of Monroe is seeking an individual for the Water Resources position of Civil Engineer I (full time 40 hours per week) or Civil Engineer II (30 hours per week with benefits). The position will perform system mapping updates for water and sewer system with new water and sewer lines and associated features, and provide water and sewer main design. Maintain positive public relations with citizens and internal customers.
Civil Engineer I applicant will have general knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering; skill in the use of civil engineering instruments and equipment; skill in the use and application of computer aided design software; ability to perform engineering computations and to make recommendations on engineering problems and planning; any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil or environmental engineering or related field and certification as an Engineering Intern (EI). Grade WR-9; salary range $48,506 to $80,912.
Civil Engineer II applicant will have thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering; general knowledge of modern methods and techniques as applied to the design of public works and utility projects; ability to perform difficult engineering computations and to make recommendations on engineering problems and planning; skill in the use and application of computer aided design software; any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil or environmental engineering and certification as an Engineering Intern (EI).
Grade WR-10; salary range $40,794 to $67,876.
